Who We Are What We Do What's Going On Training Materials
|
Evangelism Training AcademyThe Open Air Campaigners are presenting our exciting one-week seminar, designed to provide training in all phases of conducting open-air evangelistic meetings. All students will be tutored according to their level of experience. Those who attend this seminar will be equipped to go back to their home church or field of ministry in order to conduct fruitful, open-air outreaches. The academy will be held June 9 - 14 at Washington Bible College. Click here for registration information. Teen Summer Mission TeamsThis video about OAC summer teen mission teams was produced at our Boston branch: We have just completed the final week of working with teens for a total of eight weeks this summer. We have worked with four different teams from three different churches. We are praising God for how He is using these teens to preach the Gospel with drama, puppets, and open-air preaching. Some of these teens are only 14 years old, yet they boldly stand up and share God's Word. It is exciting to see their enthusiasm for the Lord and their passion for knowing Him more. The End of the World MessagePart One:Part Two:These videos are of an Open Air Campaigner evangelist preaching in the open air on the boardwalk in Ocean City, MD. The message is about the end of the world, with a challenge to repent and believe the Gospel. Many teens listened to the messages preached on the boardwalk this summer, and some prayed to repent and trust Jesus as Saviour. One example of this took place after a messages titled, "Jesus Take the Wheel." One of the team members brought a young man to me who he had spoken to after the message. The team member said, "My friend here wants to put his faith in Christ." I turned to the young man who was visiting Ocean City from Pittsburgh and asked him, "Why do you want to put your faith in Christ?" He said, "Because I want to go to heaven, and I want Jesus to take the wheel on my life." I told him that in order to do this he must repent by turning away from His own way, turning to God and admitting that he was a sinner. I told him that he must put his faith in Jesus and what He did on the cross for him. I asked, "Is that what you want to do?" He said, "Yes," and he prayed right there on the boardwalk expressing that he wanted to turn from his own way to God and that he wanted to place his trust in Jesus. I could tell you many stories about how God used us to sow the seed of the Gospel. We praise Him for all that He is doing to accomplish His purposes through you who support the mission with prayer, administration, finances, and for all the foot soldiers who joined us out here in the field. Evangelistic Training Academy June 11-16, 2007June 11-16, 2007, we hosted a week-long evangelism training academy in cooperation with Washington Bible College. With God's help the academy was very successful. Seventeen students graduated with new knowledge and confidence in sharing the Good News. Here is one of our students preaching in Annapolis on the last night of the academy:
